April is National Poetry Month!! We are so excited to explore LOTS of different types of poetry throughout the month! To kick everything off I have a FREEBIE to share with you! My kiddos are obsessed with Acrostic poems! So, we decided to not only celebrate National Poetry Month but also celebrate spring! I hope you have as much fun with it as we did!
Acrostic poems can be so fun to work on with kids. They are a relatively easy poem but also allow for so much creativity! I love that my kids all created vastly different poems as well as paintings to go along with them!
For this project I had the kids create an acrostic poem using the word SPRING. We then each created our own painting that depicts what we think of when we think of spring! They did such a wonderful job…and we had so much fun!
Click below to download your own sample Acrostic poem as well as a printable page with the word SPRING! I would love to see your finished pieces! Please feel free to share on Instagram and give me a tag! I will share it in my stories!!
